As we look ahead towards 2022 and beyond, we are updating several of our office policies to continue to improve our patient experience. The first update is to our Reservation (Appointment) Policy and it will go into effect November 1st, 2021.
When making an appointment in our office you are reserving time on our schedule with one of our providers. This time is specific to you and your procedure, and it allows us to prepare for your visit in advance. Unlike other dental practices, we do not over-book our schedule because we value your time and want to make sure you are provided with the highest quality care.
Changes in Reserved Time
Any changes in reserved time must be made at least 48 hours (2 business days) in advance. This is a courtesy to our staff as well as other patients trying to reserve time in our office.
Broken Reservation Fee
A $75 fee will be billed for any missed reservations or changes made less than 48 hours (2 business days) in advance.
1st Broken or Missed Reservation
We will waive the $75 fee the first time a reservation is broken or missed, but we will send you a reminder of our reservation policy.
2nd Broken or Missed Reservation
If a second reservation is broken or missed within a 12-month period, we will apply a $75 fee to your account that must be paid prior to making a future reservation.
Deposits for Treatment
Reservations for treatment requiring more than 1.5 hours of doctor time will require a $75 deposit. The deposit is non-refundable and will be applied towards the treatment received at that reservation.
Priority List
Sometimes due to work, health, etc. it is difficult for you to know your schedule in advance. If you are in this category, we keep a list of patients that can come on short notice when time becomes available. If we contact you from this list, you can accept or decline, and we may try you again later. Please let our staff know if you would like to be on this list.
Reservations for Multiple Family Members
Many families request to be seen on the same day and we work hard to accommodate this request. We do limit this to no more than two (2) family members on the same day. If additional family members wish to reserve time and we have availability, then we will request a $75 deposit for each additional person. The deposit will be applied towards the treatment received at that reservation.
Late Arrivals
Reservation times are specific to you and the procedure. When you are late, it compromises our ability to provide you with quality care and impacts our ability to be on time for other patients. If you are more than 15 minutes late, your reservation may be rescheduled. If this happens, it will be considered a missed reservation.
